Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a public education service that provides hands-on career preparation. CTE is designed to provide students with the technical skills required for particular jobs. Community-based internships in local businesses and industry sites are offered in many classes. Every course offers a unit on employment seeking skills, which includes the job application, resume, and interview preparation.
CTE courses are open to all high school juniors and seniors. Priority is given to high school seniors then juniors.
Santa Susana's CTE program is a state funded educational program; therefore, there is no tuition for high school students.
Upon successful completion of a CTE course, elective credit may be issued and applied toward high school graduation.
