What is CTE?

Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a public education service that provides hands-on career preparation. CTE is designed to provide students with the technical skills required for particular jobs. Community-based internships in local businesses and industry sites are offered in many classes. Every course offers a unit on employment seeking skills, which includes the job application, resume, and interview preparation.

Who is eligible?

CTE courses are open to all high school juniors and seniors. Priority is given to high school seniors then juniors.

What is the cost to high school students?

Santa Susana's CTE program is a state funded educational program; therefore, there is no tuition for high school students.

Can you earn high school credits in a CTE class?

Upon successful completion of a CTE course, elective credit may be issued and applied toward high school graduation.
